We will have to wait and see if the movie will be any good when it comes out in 2010. I wouldn't get my hopes up though. There are a lot of live action movies based on manga anime series coming out in the next few years.

Hell no...Reeves is a crap actor- another idiot who holds a stupid hand gun in every movie he's in. No one will be able to play Spike- he has the amazing voice of Steven Blum and a body that few pocess (tall, long legs, the hair). I alrady know that whoever plays spike, nonethless if they make a live movie the name will be ruined. They made knockin on heavens door, and that was enough. They will ruin the anime!

This show is way to good do let it get ruined by some crapy live-action movie. But nowadays where film industry seems to have lost a lot of it's former creativity every series, book or even computer game has to get picturised!

you gotta admit though...if anyone is going to play as spike, reeves is a perfect choice. i say the live action movie has potential...but then again it is another live action anime film.

A trap set by Vicious for Spike, perhaps? It's not as though Vicious is a clean or fair fighter - he can't really afford to be with his weapon of choice - so it's not a stretch to imagine that he'd have a little surprise waiting for Spike in his personal chamber. The man with 'eyes as cold as a snake about to strike' hardly seems the type to let Spike waltz into his lair before delivering a contrived monologue. This final fight is a classic for a reason - short and brutal.

Great series. One thing that has always bugged me about this ending... how come the roof blows up just before Spike confronts Vicious? Grenades couldnt do that, plastic explosives could. But why even blow up the roof? This isnt a Jerry Bruckheimer film.(no offense, I like a few of his movies) I know it really is a minor thing, but it bothered me considering how well crafted this anime was.

i know...and sadly, i think it's frankly going to be way more miss than hit. why can't they just let it be?

Heh, there's already a plan for a live-action film soon.
