I hate hip hop but there are some talented ones who play instruments and dont just rap about crack and money. Check out The Roots, old old hip hop who play real guitars and not computer produced beats and loops.

Nobody said that rap sounds bad ... it's just that it's always delivered at the same tempo with the same attitude, regardless of the artist. Plus, rap doesn't demand development of talent and ability with melody and composition. I have yet to see a rapper who's also an accomplished multi-instrumentalist and can do something OUTSIDE rap. It often seems to me that it's the rappers who are small-minded rather than the true musicians.

And many rappers (mainly rap producers) would say they grew up listening to ZZTop. cmon. quit living in your small world of ignrance and start enjoying the feeling ANY music can give you.... you sound like someone who is told what to say and do... very sad. MTV and VH1 need to bring back the good stuff like ZZ Top and maybe some Ozzy and stuff like that bring back the good stuff and not this "soulja boy" or "young Joc".
